Isa, I just got to spend a weekend in NY as well, getting filled up with art. Got to see the Ruth Asawa show at MOMA. How exciting that Daniel was part of that Billy Preston documentary. love to you both.
Oh how wonderful…..loved the Asawa too which I wrote about a while back. Ihope you can come to movie Thursday at TACAW if you are in town. Daniel will tell the story of how he turned his book rejection into another expression. So proud of him.
Such a great visual feast. It is soothing to the soul to know that great art is created each day. We will be in NYC mid-March and look forward to following in your footsteps.
I am so excited to see Daniel's film. There is so much talent, creativity, and might within your family, equal parts amazing and heartwarming. Love you with all my heart.
Congratulations to Daniel, the show looks wonderful, I will definitely see it. What a great trip and beautiful art you have seen on it. Now in a few weeks I will have to get to MOMA after I visit the Guggenheim!
I’m so disappointed that I didn’t get to see you in NYC. But so glad that I did see the film. I still feel so moved by it, by Preston’s incredible charisma and talent, and the sensitivity of the story telling. I’m so glad that his story is being told!
Me too, Bobby. But I have discovered that I can be back in the city and reframe the narrative around Bai’s death not just as the city where she perished but the city that she loved and felt most at home. I will be back in mid-June so perhaps then?
Are you still in CT? I think more venues are landing there soon. And thanks, I did have fun. I am just so very proud of Daniel who kept with this project despite rejection and curveballs.
And thank you for sharing your thoughts and images. Missing you.
Congratulations to both of you! And for sharing
What a beautiful way to end this longest of shortest months. Thanks for sharing all these visual treats from your travels. The movie looks phenomenal!

You've been busy with great work and some fun, I hope. I just watched the trailer to the BP film and cannot wait to see it. Gotta figure out where.
